Jim Cox Racing is the Nevada and Arizona Dunlop race tire distributor of DOT, slicks, and rain tires for all your race and track needs.

In addition to Dunlop tires, Jim Cox Racing handles Woodcraft products, Leo Vince exhaust systems, Suzuka tire warmers, and Graves products.

Jim Cox Racing attends road racing events at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada and Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona, as well as track day events at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada.  Tire sales, mounting, and balancing are among the services provided by Jim Cox Racing at these events.

At track day events in Pahrump hosted by Socal Track Days, Jim Cox Racing provides road race instruction for WERA licensing.

About
Jim Cox

Jim Cox began road racing in Nevada with Southern Nevada Road Racing (SNRR) in 1982.  By the end of his first season, he had accumulated enough points to win the #1 plate overall.

Having a good start to a great career, Jim began traveling to California to race with the American Federation of Motorcycles (AFM) and finished in the top 10 overall.

In 1984 Jim traveled to Phoenix to race with Phoenix Road Racing Organization (PRRO) where he had top finishes in numerous events.  That same year, he started racing with AMA/CCS at national events.  In 1985, riding for Double Down Racing, Jim and his teammates won the AMA/CCS National GTU Endurance Championship.

Between 1985 and 1990, Jim road for the WERA National Endurance Teams of Hall & Still Racing, Royale Racing, and CAZ Racing, and raced in AMA/CCS and WERA events.

In 1990 and 1991, Jim won the AMA/CCS Southwest #1 overall and numerous class championships.  For the next 10 years, Jim consistently finished in the top 10 overall in AMA/CCS Southwest and continued to win class championships.  For 11 years, Jim Cox taught the new rider school for CCS Southwest.

At the end of 2002, Jim went into semi-retirement and became the Dunlop tire distributor for Nevada and Arizona.  With more than two decades of road racing experience and his vast knowledge of tire technology, tuning, suspension, and riding skills, Jim Cox is the "go-to guy" at racing events, providing his Dunlop riders with some of the best service and overall expertise in the racing tire business.
